Fitness tip- Day 24: Fuel the Machine!

This fitness tip is dedicated to learning how to fuel yourself before, during and after workouts. Through proper nutrition, you’ll grow stronger and improve performance day to day. Starting a workout low on fuel is never a good idea and in turn you could fall short of your workout goal. Proper nutrition leaves you energized during the workout and helps you to recover faster after it.First, start with a carbohydrate-rich pre-workout snack (see the meal plan below, breakfast is Raisin Bread  and Farmer’s Cheese. Definitley a GREAT choice for carb rich fuel). During workouts be sure and always hydrate, as your working your tail off, your sweating all those nutrients out and your body is being depleted of water, so you must always be sure and stay hydrated. After a workout, be sure and rehydrate again and consume a small snack such as almonds or a protein bar within 30 minutes.
